Dalfruin is a magnificent Edwardian 1905 home set in beautiful grounds near the centre of Bairnsdale. Dalfruin is ideally located for you to enjoy the magic of East Gippsland. Choice of three apartments BallyVista Studio Apartment and Garden Apartment are self contained in the grounds fo Dalfruin. Both are delightful, with own kitchenette, decorated to perfection.
Dalfruin has three rooms with stained glass windows, 12' ceilings, its luxury plus. Queen size bed, ensuite with claw bath, spacious lounge, and dining room all to yourself.

The grounds are stunning with roses, lavender, wisteria, and a lovely water features, it is like stepping back into time with flowers abounding reflecting the season. The ideal place to read a book and relax, or explore the region for there is a great deal to see and do in this magical place called East Gippsland.

The property is ideally located, within easy walking distance to the shops, the Mitchell River or the local pool. Bairnsdale itself is a large regional shopping centre with extensive strip shopping which includes major stores, plus plenty of boutiques, antiques, and bookshops. Enjoy a plethora of eating places, from formal dining to alfresco, many using local produce and fish.

Places of interest: A short drive takes you to Metung, Paynesville, Lakes Entrance or Sale. Visit wineries, art galleries, antiques galore, or craft markets. The more energetic can walk, cycle or horse ride the Rail Trail, sail the Gippsland Lakes, or explore the Ninety Mile Beach. As the junction of the Princes Highway and the Great Alpine Road, Bairnsdale is the perfect base to visit Buchan Caves, Omeo, Dinner Plains and Mount Hotham. From lakes, sea, mountains, to forest, you are surrounded by natural beauty that is quite breathtaking.

Historic Church: During the depression, Italian painter Franscesco Floriani was commissioned to paint a ceiling fresco at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Bairnsdale. His mural of the Stations of the Cross has hundreds of figures in heaven and hell - something not to be missed.
