A 50% deposit is required to secure all bookings. This is non refundable.
We are a small Motel in a remote area and unlike larger Motels we do not have the luxury of passing traffic/tourists to take up cancellations easily. We take your bookings in good faith and turn others away to secure your booking. Bookings are often made 12 months ahead for special events and if a room is cancelled it is not always resold as guests have already sourced other accommodation.
Our cancellation policy is to allow you to re-use your booking at a later time, within a three month period, provided you cancel 48 hours prior to booking date.

We are in the middle of town and a 2 minute walk from the Hotel for your meals and refreshments.
The township of Dargo lies at the foot of the Dargo High Plains, nestled in a beautiful valley of 100 year old walnut trees. The Dargo River meanders through town, making Dargo an ideal destination as a base point to discover the spectacular scenery of the High Plains and the Grant Historical area.
The town first came to prominence around the mid to late 1800's during the gold rush to the Crooked River. It was a supply centre for the miners camped out on the rivers.
Bullock teams hauled Irish Whiskey, picks, shovels and food into the town. Packhorse teams then carried goods on to towns such as Grant, Talbotville and Bull Town. These towns were carved from the wilderness and linked by bridle tracks.
All that remains of the mining heritage are the mines, some crumbling dwellings and old machinery. Recent bush fires have damaged some of the historical ruins, but markers still allow us to pinpoint there existence.
Dargo is a place to stay and enjoy this picturesque and peaceful valley.
